New Patient
We’re excited to welcome you to Chrysalis Chiropractic! After booking your appointment, you’ll receive a secure link to complete your online intake forms — no paperwork needed. This allows us to review your health history and tailor your first visit for the best possible care experience.
A deposit link will also be provided at the time of booking to reserve your appointment. This helps us hold your preferred time and prepare for your session.
Consultation & Examination
Your first visit begins with a personal consultation with Dr. Capps to discuss your health concerns, goals, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. This is your opportunity to share your story, ask questions, and explore how chiropractic care can best support your overall wellness.
Following the consultation, Dr. Capps will perform a comprehensive chiropractic examination to evaluate your posture, reflexes, flexibility, and overall movement patterns. Additional neurological, orthopedic, or physical assessments may also be included to gain a complete understanding of your condition.
Rest assured — nothing will be done without your consent. Our goal is to make you feel informed, comfortable, and confident as we design a care plan that’s right for you.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Capps will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies
While we do not take X-rays in our office, there are times when imaging can be helpful in developing the most accurate treatment plan. If X-rays are recommended, we’ll refer you to a trusted local facility.
If you already have recent X-rays or imaging reports, you’re welcome to bring them to your appointment so Dr. Capps can review them as part of your evaluation.
Report of Findings
After your examination, Dr. Capps will review your findings with you and discuss what they mean for your health. During this conversation, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions such as:
- How can chiropractic care help me?
- How often will I need to come in?
- What will my treatment plan involve?
We will then discuss your health history, goals, and exam results before outlining personalized recommendations for care. When appropriate, this may include collaboration with other services offered in our office — such as acupuncture, laser therapy, massage, or nutrition support — to provide a truly integrative approach to your recovery and wellness.
Our goal is to create a clear, individualized plan that supports your comfort, healing, and long-term health.
First Treatment
On your initial visit, you may begin care with your first chiropractic treatment. This typically includes spinal adjustments, and may also involve Active Release Technique (ART), cold laser therapy, or extremity adjustments as appropriate for your condition.
Each treatment is interactive — you’re encouraged to share feedback and ask questions at any time so we can ensure your care feels comfortable and effective.
Home Care & Self Care
Before you leave your appointment, the doctor will provide personalized home care recommendations to support your healing between visits. This may include instructions for using ice or heat, guidance on activities or positions to avoid, and simple at-home stretches or exercises designed to help your body recover and stay aligned.
If you’d like additional support, our team can also help you build healthy daily habits that encourage better posture, movement, and balance. Because every person is unique, each plan is customized to fit your specific goals and lifestyle — helping you continue your progress and feel your best between visits.
